MY JOURNEY TO THE TAROT

MY JOURNEY TO THE TAROT

For 25 years, I had a day job as a Designer and did Tarot readings only in my spare time. But in the international corporate environments I was working in, I kept “seeing and knowing” things that my job description did not allow me to see. For example, I was once part of a team workign for Wirecard. On the kickoff day of a big financial portal project, at the first meeting in Wirecard's headquarters near Munich, I saw “something”. My rational mind told me that it was was an impression of a thousand little incongruencies in the people and the project setup. As I came home that day, I told my husband to sell our Wirecard stocks immediately. (We only had two). I “knew” that this company was not stable. But since I got my salary from a different company, I just continued the work. Just as everyone else did. We finished the portal on time and budget. 6 months later, Wirecard collapsed.

I always thought that what I saw was what everyone knew but didn’t dare to talk about. But after the Wirecard incident, I guess I accepted that I did see more. The knowing would always interfere with my work. You can’t tell a client on day 1 of a new project, that it will not succeed because you have “read the signs”. Hello career suicide. I continued to keep my intuition to myself and let it take its toll on my motivation, until one day, I couldn't do this work any more.

I’m not a Medium, Oracle or Fortune Teller. Nobody in my or my husband’s family was ever “woo-woo” so naturally, everyone is confused about what it is that I’m doing exactly. Luckily, I was used to that assessment, because for 20 years, nobody really knew what a UX/UI designer does, either. But that also mean, I have no idea what I’m doing and am trying to find my way into this ability as I go. What I know now is that I get some kind of source information from interacting with people, no matter if it in person or in written form. Words and images are my transmitter. And then there is Tarot, those 78 printed pieces of paper that somehow read out a client’s life “through me”. Radical stuff. What a Tarot Reader does have to do is study the hell out of symbolism, pattern recognition and “human reading”, if that is even a word.

I see dynamics between people and within people, power structures, influences, energy flows. I see what blocks and what frees. My Tarot readings are a wonderful mix of “knowing” what life energy knows about a person, and then communicating what I know in the best way possible back to the seeker.

The most important thing about Tarot for me: the cards always wants to see a seeker succeed, like a true mother, a true father or a true friend would. The love they channel is shown in the truthfulness of their message. It is my responsibility as reader to accurately read, translate and explain this message of honesty born out of love in such a way that the seeker can use it to empower themselves and resolve blockages in life. This is my everyday motivation.

For 25 years I had a day job as a Designer and did readings only in my spare time. But in the international corporate environments I was working in, I kept “seeing and knowing” more and more of the problems that my job description did not allow me to fix, or even see. I saw the energetic constellations in teams and who was able to work effectively, who was creating smoke and mirror, or who was cheating after meeting them only once. I saw how by working and communicating in a particular way, a project would fail, despite huge budgets , skills and talents of the participants. The flow of information I got from minute 1 of interaction was intense.

I would also see within minutes how a project was really doing, even if I knew nothing about its organisation, it’s headcount or it’s management attention. For example, I was once in a team of media agency people tasked with creating a financial app for Wirecard. On the kickoff day in the first meeting in its headquarter near Munich, I saw the energy, power constellations and inner stories of the team. As I came home that day, I told my husband to sell our Wirecard stocks immeditaely because this is not a legitimate company. 6 months later, to everyone's surprise, it collapsed.

I always thought that what I saw was what everyone knew but did not dare to talk about. But after the Wirecard incident, I grasped for the first time that I did see more. Eventually, the knowing started to interfere with my work. You can’t tell a client on day 1 of you entering the project, that it will not succeed, because you have “read the signs” and here is what the client would have to change in the team setup to prevent that from happening. Hello career suicide. So I continued to keep my intuition to myself and let it take its toll on my motivation, until one day, I stoped.

I’m not a Medium, Oracle or Fortune Teller. I don’t see future events or spirits. I get my source information from talking with people, no matter if it is in person or in written form. Words and images are my transmitter. When someone tells me about their problem in 2-3 paragraphs by only hinting at things and leaving out half of the information, I immediately get the full picture. It would work the same for an image, but people usually don't draw, unfortunately. But it works for Tarot when I read source messages back to the Seeker.

I have stopped my previous day job to try to see if I can evolve my intuition. Currently I am still in safe territory, because I can’t predict the future and energy reading is not mentioned in the bible. I see dynamics between people and within people, power structures, influences, energy flows. I see what blocks and what frees. My Tarot readings are a supernatural mix of “knowing” what source knows about a person, and then communicating what I know the best way possible.

Some Tarot Practicioners say they actually don’t need the cards to can read a person. I would agree, but the cards speed up the process of reading immensely. They are also less dependent on the state of energy, health and other clouding factors of the reader. The cards are far more acurate than they should be.

But the most important thing about Tarot: the cards always wants to see you succeed, like a real mother, father or friend would. It is in my responsibility as reader to accurately read, translate and explain this message of sometimes brutal honesty born out of love in such a way that the seeker can use it to empower themselves. This is my everyday motivation.
